VERMIN INTERVIEW

I am proud to announce the latest interview with guitarist Stephan of the amazing German band known as Vermin. Open your minds and your eyes to a new breed of metal ladies and gentlemen. This band really crushes a lot. With no further due, here's Underground Noise's latest interview, and thanks for reading.

1. How was the band formed?

The band was founded in 2003 by a couple of school friends in a pub.
2. How did the members find each other?
The founding members Thomas Bodenschatz and Manuel Herz were old school friends.
After some line-up changes, they found, quite by accident, on Stephan Hurtig.
A little later we have Simon Reuther was added to the band, who had been friends
in the past with Vermin.
3. Where does Vermin practice at?
Both the practice and the song writing is in
a traditional practice room held in Bayreuth (Germany).
4. Who are your influences musically?
Each band member has a different taste in music.
From funk to rock and roll to black metal's all there.
So influenced the music each in his own way
5. Where do you see yourselves 5 years from now?
This question is not easily answered. Of course we want
to win a lot of new fans. One may also look forward to a new album.
But who has the ability to look into the future ....?
6. How would you best describe your sound to the listeners?
A portion rock'n'roll mixed with melodic and groovy death metal and small surprises.
7. What has been the biggest accomplishment Vermin has had success with?
There were some highlights in the history of Vermin: This includes tours and
festival shows with renowned bands. We are also proud of the appearing of our
debut album!
8. Name some bands that you have always wanted to tour with.
Surely everyone in the band has a different favorite, which makes it difficult
to name specific names. To go with renowned bands on tour certainly increase
the chance to win over many new fans. But we have fun with every band who
accompanies us on tour.
9. Do the members have any jobs outside the music?
Yes! Each band member goes to a regular job! From a carpenter about stone restoration
up to affiliate account manager everything is there.
10. Any last words for Underground Noise?
Stay rock n roll! Cheers!

SOLOTHUS- RITUAL OF THE HORNED SKULL (DEMO REVIEW)

Solothus...blasting all the way from Finland is this death metal/doom metal band. In a lot of respects, this 4 song DEMO is utterly worth having. Combining the sounds of Bolt Thrower type vocals and riffs that will remind the listener of Candlemass and Cathedral to name a couple of bands. Solothus offers the listener something different about their sound..it's unique. My personal favorite song is the first one called "A Call to War." They prove that they don't have to be all about blast beats, but sometimes slower metal is better, Solothus will prove that they have what it takes to be the next best thing in doom metal. If you don't believe me, find the band on Facebook. And if you don't like them, then eat feces. Anyhow folks, as far as this DEMO goes...I'm gonna give a 5/5 stars because it's not an every day thing that you find a band that can take doom and death metal and make it sound GOOD! Solothus does just that. SO metalheads, keep your horns up and keep the UNDERGROUND ALIVE!!! \m/-_-\m/ EVILVENGEANCE666

SOPHICIDE- PERDITION OF THE SUBLIME (album review)

Sophicide set a new wave for the death metal community to receive an awesome audience just by giving this album 1 spin will prove them that this band has got it. Tearing it up all the way from Germany is where Sophicide resides. For being a debut album, this is one of the most relentless, mind blowing & sickest I've heard in a while. Filled with intricate and articulate guitar solos, vocals that will go so deep into your heart to make it stop & drums and bass that will crush you with every beating. This release is for fans of Fleshgod Apocalypse, Necrophagist, Bloodbath or any extreme metal listener out there. Basically, this band is out for blood, so watch out because this album dominates over some that have tried to cross the line before, but were too afraid to step forward and make the mark that they wanted, and Sophicide shows just what it takes to do just that. This album all in its own merit deserves a 5/5 stars by being one of many debuts that I've come across that are killer sounding as well as enjoyable..So metalheads, if you want a band that will leave you breathless, give Sophicide a jam, you'll be glad you did. Keep it EXTREME, keep it METAL, keep the UNDERGROUND ALIVE & ALWAYS KEEP THOSE HORNS UP!!! \m/-_-\m/ EVILVENGEANCE666

QUIMERA- CAOS (album review)

South American bands don't get enough recognition, but from what I've noticed about Chile is that they have some outstanding metal bands. Take this band Quimera for example. They're not your modern day thrash metal with moderate tempo type riffs. Instead, Quimera's blend of thrash & black metal riffs and vocals that are very thrash sounding will tear your souls apart. Caos, being a 10 song album is head spinning, soul tearing & above all superb in production quality. Very killer indeed. They will make your bones crumble, eject your eyes out of their sockets, and crush your minds. Spanish lyrics this time folks..and know what? Quimera can handle anything that comes their way. So, if you like bands like Sacred Reich, Exodus and even Destruction..then this band should be right up your alley, and if they're not..I don't really give a shit, but these guys are worth checking out. 10 songs are on this album entirely and they've got some killer crunch distortion going on and it is kick ass! I don't have a favorite song from this album, they all sound good. So, I give them a 4.5/5 stars only because I think the album could have used a couple of extra songs, but other than that it's a great sounding album and if you like Underground Metal, then this is something you should have in your collection. Until next time metalheads: KEEP THE UNDERGROUND SCENE ALIVE, KEEP METAL ALIVE & MOST OF ALL; KEEP THOSE HORNS UP UP UP!!!! \m/-_-\m/ EVILVENGEANCE666

THE EVERSCATHED- STILL SCREAMING WORLD (album review)

Crushing, catchy & most of all; a brutal kick in the ass is what you'll get when you spin this album by this 3 piece onslaught band known as The Everscathed. These sick dudes come from Tinley Park Illinois. The Everscathed are guaranteed to incinerate you to ashes. Filled with epic songwriting skills, terrific tempos and a wicked range of vocals. Some of you might agree that this band is a strong force of thrash metal, metal & death metal. The one song which stands out the most for me is "The Urge Commands" which I have posted a YouTube video below for you to enjoy after reading this review. Just by hearing the opening riffs to this song will get ones blood pumping to bang his or her head, and if it doesn't happen...oh my, you're in for it!! Followed by that is the song Dreaded Passage which will embrace you with it's message and make it known. It's been a long time since a band this good excited me as much as The Everscathed have. There are a few slow breakdowns in this album that would make Dying Fetus fans want more. So, you want my rating now, eh? Well, I'm not really a critic about metal music folks, but in all honesty...The Everscathed I here do declare a 5/5 stars based on how awesome they are. Original would be an understatement to some, but this band IS original and genuine. A gem in the rough and a great one worth jamming for YEARS TO COME!!! GET THIS ALBUM! YOU NEED IT!! Until next time metalheads, keep metal alive, keep the UNDERGROUND alive & MOST OF ALL: KEEP THOSE HORNS UP!!! EVILVENGEANCE666 \m/-_-\m/

BRUTALLY BUTCHERED- ( DEMO REVIEW)

Brutally Butchered is sheer brutality and ear blistering sickness coming all the way from Lancaster California. With combining old school and new school ideas is what makes Brutally Butchered a lot more different than most death metal bands. Fusing the sounds can be great because to the listener, they might agree that this band sounds a lot like old school Mortician & Fleshgrind. Awesome riffs, pounding drums that will make the eardrums explode, awesome bass tones & vocals that are like early Chris Barnes when he was in Cannibal Corpse during Tomb of the Mutilated era. On this 11 song opus your mind won't be the same after listening to it, that is if you can understand the words...LOL, I can. You thought some bands were twisted? Guess again, this 3 piece band will destroy you. From what I'm thinking, Brutally Butchered has a lot of influences, and they are playing with some major death metal acts this year like Exhumed & Disgorge (USA, I'm assuming), be sure to check them out!! This is an awesome combo of the early DEMOS. They get a 5/5 stars from me based on how kick ass they are. Find them on Facebook. I can't find a favorite song on here, but I like them all equally. Until next time metalheads across the world, KEEP THE METAL ALIVE, KEEP IT REAL & ALWAYS KEEP THOSE HORNS UP!!! \m/-_-\m/ EVILVENGEANCE666

Members:

Roger Curry- Bass
Steven Wright- Drums
Brutal Oscar- Guitars/Vocals

Tracks that were mentioned to me that appear on the DEMO Combo:
