JAY BARNES VOCALIST FROM LUST OF DECAY INTERVIEW!!!!!

All right everyone, it's about time Underground Noise is over with its break. I have received answers from Jay Barnes from Lust of Decay to help promote this web-zine and his band. I must say, I am a proud owner of the album Kingdom of Corpses and can't wait to enjoy their NEW stuff once it's out. So here is the latest with Underground Noise & Jay Barnes from Lust of Decay.

UN: What prompted you to become a musician?

JB: Well what prompted me to be a musician when I was growing up was to get girls lmao, but then I grew to love the music more and more. I was listening to bands like Iron Maiden, Slayer & Metal Church to name a few. A friend of mine turned me on to Obituary, Sepultura & Death. It warped my mind and I was like, "This is the music I want to play." By the way, I was a bass player before becoming a vocalist. I'm a better vocalist than a bass player lol.

UN: What has been your favorite country to perform in?

JB: My favorite place to play is in the good ole USA for now. We've got some plans to spread the sickness to the world in 2015, so stay posted. Some of my favorites are; South Carolina, Colorado, Nevada & New York to name a few. I have loved everywhere I've played for sure.

UN: What song by your band is your favorite and why?

JB: I have two favorites. Scarification off of Purity Through Dismemberment & Crustacean Masturbation from Kingdom of Corpses. I love Scarification because the music makes me want to jump in the pit and bust someone's head and the reason I love Crustacean Masturbation is because it's the only song I helped write with an instrument, so it's kind of my baby lol.

UN: Who are your influences both musically and personally?

JB: My influences musically are Deicide, Death, Sinister, King Diamond, Lividity, old Morbid Angel, Dark Angel and Hate Eternal. My personal influence goes to my friend Scott Strange. In my opinion, he was ahead of his time. His band Necrocist was around when Morbid Angel was starting out in Charlotte NC. Morbid Angel is originally from Charlotte, and Scott's band sounded a lot like them. He introduced me to them when I was younger. He taught me everything about being a real musician.

UN: What do you find to be the most difficult while touring and do you keep in contact with the fans you meet?

JB: The hardest thing about touring is getting enough sleep and the long rides, but playing for our brothers and sisters of metal makes it all worth it. I really love touring and meeting new people and places. Yes, I do stay in touch with people I have met on the road and fellow musicians.

UN: What is next for Lust of Decay?

JB: What's next for LOD is for us to write a new album, it's been way too long. We'd like to get back on the road and tour again. We are working on making this happen right now. Stay tuned into our site for more info.

UN: How would you describe Lust of Decay's music to those who don't know about you?

JB: The only way I can describe our music is fast, groovy, slamming breakdowns with technical parts along with machine gun drumming and gutter vomit pig vocals and we like to write songs about sexually disturbing things.

UN: Any last words for Underground Noise?

JB: I would like to thank Underground Noise for the interview. It is an honor. Thanks also for supporting the Death Metal scene. Until next time, keep it sick and brutal. Thanks again brother!

SOLACE OF REQUIEM- CASTING RUIN (ALBUM REVIEW)

Solace of Requiem will be releasing their newest full length album in 11 days entitled, Casting Ruin. This 3 piece Black/ Death Metal band provides the listener with beyond brutal rhythms and leads. The band has become more progressive and sophisticated in their musical style as evidenced by their intricate, high-tech songwriting expertise. Casting Ruin is a masterpiece from start to finish and will leave you wanting MORE of what SOR has to offer. This band breaks a major barrier that few have dared to cross, proving that they are capable of anything. If someone told you that high voltage was a bad thing, then Solace of Requiem will prove them wrong. The band has also had some great feedback from fans and webzines around the world on previous releases. Casting Ruin WILL crucify, dominate and take over the world like a massive storm of sickness! NUMBER ONE GOOGLE SEARCH!!!

Earlier today I had felt to do a random search for shits and giggles on Google for results on Underground Noise Facebook, and the first one that happened to pop up was mine. I am totally in awe about it. Not to brag, but this is awesome. I had never thought I'd see this happen. This is one of the BEST things that could have ever happened to me, or anyone. Well, metalheads progress and persistence pays off. In this case, it was unexpected and truly shows anything can happen at any time given, just got to take the time in order for those things to happen. KEEP YOUR HORNS UP EVERYONE!!!! HATE DIVISION- ORDER OF THE ENSLAVED (ALBUM REVIEW)

If you're ready for your ears to bleed profusely, then listen to this ferocious, savage & vicious 4 piece Death Metal band known as Hate Division. Fueled with sheer brilliance in brutal rhythms for both guitars and bass, drums that are compelling and dynamic & finally vocals that are utterly demonic gutturals along with some occasional screams. This band is powerful in every single way. Want high energy? Hate Division will get you in the mood to have just that along with headbanging so hard that you might become comatose if you aren't careful. If you're looking for a band that can cause a massacre in a mosh pit, then this is for you!! Thanks to Paul Shaw,  courtesy of the band to send me a copy. He is the man who operates Blasthead Records. I have had the honor of reviewing some bands he has sent my way, which will be featured in this web-zine as well. Order of the Enslaved is epic beyond words. They remind me of many bands like Human Infection & a bit like early Cannibal Corpse. Extreme to the fucking core! Blasting from Canada is where you'll find the band Hate Division. For this being the newest release by the band, I'll give them a 9.5/10 stars based on how compelling this album is. Until next time ladies & germs, this is EVILVENGEANCE666 TELLING YOU TO KEEP SUPPORTING THE UNDERGROUND METAL MUSIC SCENE, SUPPORT HATE DIVISION, SUPPORT UNDERGROUND NOISE...but most of all: KEEP THOSE HORNS UP!!! \m/-_-\m/

SOLITARY PRIAPISM- TERMINAL EXHIBITION (ALBUM REVIEW)

California is well known for sick & demented bands like: Deeds of Flesh, Decrepit Birth, Meat Shits & many others. Take the band Solitary Priapism and you'll find yourselves indulged to enjoy the Death/Grind like the sounds and likes of Lividity, Lust of Decay, Lord Gore, Skinless, Embalmer & Goratory. Slip into your jammies, crank the volume beyond eleven for shrieking screams and  vile gutturals for vocals, aggressive yet lusty bass & guitars with brutal chugs and sharp pinched harmonics. Drums which blast your brain out of your skull if it were a 12 gauge shotgun shot to the eyesocket! When the band released Terminal Exhibition, they didn't have a permanent bassist until they recruited bassist Shawn Ward to add more dimension and more driving sounding bass lines for their music. However, this album won't disappoint fans of the genre of music of which they portray to what they create. There aren't too many bands that stand out as much as these guys do.The music will put a hole in your head unless you already have one. Terminal Exhibition is getting a 9/10 stars. If you get this album, be prepared to shit your pants with intensity of high level music. In case you didn't know, they just did a show with Dying Fetus & Blasphemous Creation. Two bands that I'm familiar with! Metalheads: KEEP SUPPORTING THE UNDERGROUND, SUPPORT SOLITARY PRIAPISM, SUPPORT UNDERGROUND NOISE AND MOST OF ALL: KEEP YOUR HORNS UP!!!! DEMONS WITHIN- GODSLAYER (EP REVIEW)

Demons Within are coming out with a NEW EP in 2 days entitled Godslayer. This band has a whole new lineup since their last offering of music, but this EP is effective heavily for the Death metal scene. Having only 4 songs on the EP makes this one stand out far better than what they have previously released. My favorite song off of it is Where Demons Breed. If you are ready for your intervention, then this EP is just waiting for you to blast the hell out of it! Crushing heads to bring anger, violence and of course amazing music! The band has added another lead singer to bring scathing screams stronger than any female vocalist I've ever heard. So, if you are looking for a few punches in the face until your skull is smashed, or every bone in your body is weak from moshing; well...that's up to you! I would have to say that this EP is brutal, sick and most of all more technical than anything they've ever done! Having winning best local band in their area in 2013 says a lot about the band. Demons Within have had the honor to share the same stage with bands like: Deicide, DevilDriver, Dying Fetus, Six Feet Under, Soulfly, Blackguard, All That Remains & Joey Belladonna of Anthrax. Get ready for a whole new killer sounding Demons Within ladies and germs as I give this EP a 10/10 stars for being as devastatingly twisted and impressive as they are. KLAUSE- SELF TITLED (ALBUM REVIEW)

This 4 piece metal band Klause will whoop your fucking ass! That's right ladies & germs, Klause is made up of 3 sons & their father: Kleever, Stevie Ray, Josh & Jon. Hard & catchy riffs like a heavier Pantera & Damageplan. Drums which punch you endlessly and vocals which are passionate & get your attention if Kleever was a drill sergeant. This band can make a fan of you instantly. They did to me. Klause doesn't have to prove shit to anyone. All of their songs stand out differently and are solid & memorable masterpieces. In your face originality & very outgoing & friendly to their fans, both old and new. Personally my favorite songs off of this 9 song debut are: Drag Me Down, Pullgetter, Knowing (Based on Cancer) & Your Life Is In My Way. I must mention how much I love this album. From start to finish, there is no fucking way it will disappoint no one. Klause is highly influenced by bands like Pantera & Damageplan. The band has performed at Ride For Dime, won Battle of the Bands in 2012 to open for Texas Hippie Coalition! Other bands they've shared the stage with are: M.O.D., Mushroomhead, Assjack, Crowbar, Saint Vitus & many many others!! The last song they played when I saw them LIVE was Cowboys From Hell, and this dude Keith and I were honored to fill in on vocals. Klause has been known to share the stage in impromptu jam sessions.  This debut album is getting 10/10 stars because they totally deserve it!! Klause is underrated, but keep in mind that they will whoop your ass if you aren't prepared for what they have in store for you. Until next time metal brothers & sisters, this is EVILVENGEANCE666 telling you to support Underground Metal, support Klause, support your local music scene, keep supporting Underground Noise & most of all, as always keep your horns UP!!! \m/-_-\m/

MARASMUS- MOUNTAINS OF DEAD (ALBUM REVIEW)

Stunning brutality hailing from Kansas City is where this punishing Death Metal band Marasmus resides. The band has a technical edge like the mighty acts Hideous Divinity, Hour of Penance, Nile & Hate Eternal to name a few.  Grinding your eardrums guitars & bass with destructive & promising riffs, drums that are solid and fiercely stricken with each devastating beat. Vocals that are viciously low & barbarically bellowed out like a demon being exorcised. Marasmus is guaranteed to please fans of Origin, Decrepit Birth, Unmerciful, Beheaded & Dying Fetus along with the ones I mentioned before. Marasmus has an impressive old school sound to them. They also have a large amount of new school sounds as well for Death Metal. Featuring 10 tracks in all, this album I wish could've been longer in the time allotted, but that's okay. Marasmus has had the honor of sharing the same stage with the likes of Morbid Angel, Torn The Fuck Apart, Unmerciful, Decrepit Birth, Cannabis Corpse, & Six Feet Under among many others. If you are looking for a band to assist you in decomposition of dead flesh, then Marasmus will do that for you. Coming up this June 28th, they will be having a show featuring Troglodyte & Corpse Fucking Art as well as others. This album Mountains of Dead gets an 9/10 only because I was hoping the album would have been longer in the time's length, but it is DEFINITELY one you need in your metal collection if you haven't gotten it by now, you better fucking do it!! Marasmus REALLY knows how to kick some serious ass!!! Well, metal brothers and sisters across the globe, KEEP SUPPORTING THE UNDERGROUND METAL SCENE, KEEP SUPPORTING UNDERGROUND NOISE, SUPPORT MARASMUS, SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL METAL MUSIC SCENE (if you have one) & AS ALWAYS...KEEP YOUR FUCKING HORNS UP YOU FUCKING METAL HEADS!!! INTERVIEW WITH MALEVOLENT CREATION'S VOCALIST BRET HOFFMANN!!!!!

IT'S TIME FOR A NEW INTERVIEW LADIES & GERMS!!! TRUST ME, THIS IS PRETTY INTENSE. I got in touch with Bret Hoffmann of Malevolent Creation to answer my questions, so if you're in good spirits, sit back and enjoy!! BECAUSE IF THIS DOESN'T GO VIRAL...I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE FUCK WILL!! LOL, but seriously folks...this is awesome!! \m/-_-\m/

UN: Who are your influences both musically and personally?

BH:
Musically, quite a lot. Old KISS, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Saxon, Zeppelin, Slayer... LOL the list goes on and on!! Personally, I have to say my Grandmother. She's actually always told me to keep playing music and tour. She says "You know you won't really be happy if you stop playing music" And who am I to argue with my Grandmother HAHA!!

UN:
Where has been your favorite place or places to perform LIVE?

BH:
That's a VERY tough to answer. I really enjoy playing everywhere, except MANY places in the States. The fans in the States are cool; it's the venue owners and many promoters who are scumbag pieces of shit! BUT I do have some friends who are great promoters in the States. I do really love playing in Germany. It kinda feels like a second home to me. Been touring Europe for 25 years. BUT like I said I just really enjoy traveling and playing music all over the world!!

UN: What song by MC is your favorite that you guys have written?

BH: HAHA yeah right. We got over a hundred songs . Definitely can't answer that. I might as well throw a dart HAHAHA!!

UN: What is the next step for Malevolent Creation?

BH: We are working on a new album, we have a new manager, we have a bunch of really good record deal offers on the table, and tour offers keep coming. So we're getting ready to gear it up higher and get this shit rolling! Hitting Europe to play some great fests in August. Really excited!!!

UN:
How did the name Malevolent Creation come about?

BH:
I used to watch Transformers cartoon back in the mid 80's. They did like a little info demo on the Decepticons and referred to them as a "Malevolent breed of robot warriors" and Megatron/Galvatron was actually pretty fucking twisted for a kid's cartoon. Really dug his evil psychotic rage!! I liked that word and wrote the song Malevolent Creation, which has nothing to do with the Transformers, I did however write a different song about Galvatron(Sacrificial Annihilation) . The name of the song just worked good for the name of the band too.

UN:
Have there ever been any moments while on any tour that may have been life threatening?

BH:
Oh sure. I have had some very hairy airplane experiences!! Some corrupt governmental shenanigans in Indonesia HAHAHA ( I had some serious doubts I was ever gonna see home again) LOL!!! And I'm sure some moments that I wasn't even aware of.

UN:
Any last words for Underground Noise?

BH:
Just want to thank all and any fans that we have who still enjoy our music!! Thanx Thanx Thanx!!!!! We should have a large scale tour going down within this year and I look forward to busting our ass out on the road for you guys!!! And thank you Alex for your support of this scene and music!! Keep rollin' brotha!!

TOXIC HOLOCAUST/EXHUMED/MAMMOTH GRINDER/RAMMING SPEED SHOW JANUARY 29, 2014 (SHOW REVIEW)

This show was fun, intense, and most of all: VERY ENTERTAINING!! We had the opportunity to meet Exhumed, Toxic Holocaust & Ramming Speed at a recent show in Albuquerque NM at The Launchpad. The show started around 7 or 7:30 with Ramming Speed opening. They had a pretty decent set and sounded a bit different than most metal I listen to, but I still enjoyed their performance. After they were done, Mammoth Grinder hit the stage and did their fair share of music as well. While they were doing so, I was able to talk with the drummer of Exhumed.  At the time I didn't realize it was Mike Hamilton whom I had met back on July 31, 2006 on  the Bloodletting America Tour 5. It was a surprise to both of us because we looked at photos of the Bloodletting tour. He was surprised at how young we both looked.  He also mentioned to me that he's still in Deeds of Flesh, but they don't tour anymore. I must say though, after 8 years, I never thought I would meet him again and it was good seeing him. I'm happy and glad my girlfriend could meet him as well as Joel Grind and Phil Zeller from Toxic Holocaust  as well. We also got to meet Blake Chuffskin, the bassist from Ramming Speed. It was great fun for all of us. The best photo of the evening is of Dennis, myself & Caleb wearing our Toxic Holocaust shirts. On another note and also the highlight of my night was doing backing vocals on Wild Dogs during Toxic Holocaust's performance. Joel himself gave me permission to do so. I will post the video below so y'all can view it. Exhumed was cool. I particularly enjoyed the decapitated mannequin head filled with fake guts that were thrown onto the crowd. Talk about an interesting yet killer stage performance! Even the chainsaw guy was entertaining. He's the guy doing the blow it out your nose in one of the pics above this show review. Another thing that was great about this show was Craig who was selling merchandise for Toxic Holocaust. He recognized me from a show back in 2006 on May 4th to be exact when Shadows Fall & Cephalic Carnage performed in Johnson City NY.  It was an awesome night for all 4 of us; Crystal, myself, Caleb & Dennis. I think the next show we all go to will be even MORE fun, maybe just as fun. All of the bands were great! Until next time metalheads, keep those horns high and support UNDERGROUND METAL & UNDERGROUND NOISE!!!! THIS IS YOUR FRIEND EVILVENGEANCE666 \m/-_-\m/

SADISTIC PURIFICATION- 2013 PROMO (PROMO REVIEW)

5 EXTREME & BRUTAL DUDES WHO HAIL FROM ATHENS GREECE MAKE UP THIS BAND KNOWN AS SADISTIC PURIFICATION. Get out your headphones and plug into a semi-technical slamming death metal 3 song promo who deliver tight precision with everything they do. I can honestly say that this 5 piece band is known to do some severe beatings on the drums as well as the guitars and bass and vocals which are like Inherit Disease, Gape & many others to name. Being what they are, and what they're capable of doing, Sadistic Purification will beat you to a pulp! I'm suggesting Sadistic Purification to fans of early Abominable Putridity, Oblivionized, Goemagot & any band that has a similar style such as theirs. For being just a promo, I'm giving this release a 9/10 stars. I was hoping for it to be longer, but look forward to when they release a full length album. I'm sure it'll be just as good as this promo has been. So if you are looking to get your head caved in with an ax, then look no further and let the bloodbath begin with Sadistic Purification! UNTIL NEXT TIME METALHEADS AROUND THE PLANET, KEEP SUPPORTING UNDERGROUND METAL, SUPPORT SADISTIC PURIFICATION, SUPPORT UNDERGROUND NOISE, SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL MUSIC SCENE & MOST OF ALL: KEEP YOUR HORNS UP!!! HUMAN INFECTION- CURVATURES IN TIME (ALBUM REVIEW)

Human Infection have left many stunned with their previous release known as Infest to Ingest, but their sophomore album entitled Curvatures In Time will bury them alive. Sounds a tad different than their prior album, but it's all good because it's full of blast beating mayhem, chunky and catchy riffing along with growls which will affect the listener in a great way just like before. This album won't be out until February 11, 2014. However, once the fans hear this new stuff, it's gonna blow their minds so hard that they'll be in wait for what's next with Human Infection. In case you don't know, this band comes from the state of Virginia. I'm pretty sure this album will cause a pit to start at any time given. If you like bands like Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse & Monstrosity, then this should be in your collection. All the members have stayed the same since the first album, and I'm happy to say that it's amazing how some bands have changed members, however the band Human Infection is one to please ANY extreme metal listener with how they've progressed since the first release Infest To Ingest. This is one very impressive album from start to finish and I give it a 9/10 stars and I'm pretty sure within 9 days, this should be selling like crazy. So metalheads, continue to support UNDERGROUND METAL, SUPPORT HUMAN INFECTION, SUPPORT UNDERGROUND NOISE...and MOST OF ALL: KEEP YOUR HORNS UP HIGH!!! EVILVENGEANCE666 \m/-_-\m/

CRYOGEN- CONTINUUM (ALBUM REVIEW)

Here comes a promising melodic death metal band from Colorado known as Cryogen. This band has created 5 albums prior to this one known as Continuum which I believe is one of the best metal releases out there on the market right now. Outstanding production is what makes Continuum stand out as a big deal from the sound, the songs & most of all how it's gripping to the listener. Think of early In Flames, Lamb of God & All Shall Perish to name a few of what this band sounds like. The vocals are pretty easy to understand, and that's what I find to be one asset of Cryogen which proves that not all vocalists are the same. Melodic, brutal & straight up metal that destroys a shit ton of bands out there nowadays. Cryogen's sound is just impeccable and astonishing. If you're into the bands I have mentioned, then don't hesitate to go to your local music retailer and hit them up and demand this for your music collection. Sharing the stage with many acts like Kittie, God Forbid, Skinlab, Divine Heresy & a few others will please new fans and listeners alike to Cryogen, that is if they haven't heard them before. Cryogen is unique in their own way. Other than that, they pull of some stuff that some bands can't or won't these days. The band has been around since 2004, so for the past 10 years some people have been hiding under a rock and have probably missed what Cryogen is capable of doing with their music. With all that said, I'm gonna give this album an 8/10 stars. However, I can definitely see this band getting angrier and more aggressive over time. My personal favorite track of of this album is Machine. Also, might I add the fact Cryogen, pulls off by far an AMAZING cover of the legendary song Heartwork, originally done by Carcass. Until next time metalheads, this is EVILVENGEANCE666 signing off and reminding you to do the following things: KEEP SUPPORTING UNDERGROUND METAL, SUPPORT CRYOGEN, SUPPORT UNDERGROUND NOISE & MOST OF ALL: KEEP YOUR HORNS HIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! \m/-_-\m/

PARASITIC EJACULATION- RATIONING THE SACRED HUMAN REMAINS (ALBUM REVIEW)

Extreme gurgle gutturals, slamming you face first repeatedly into concrete drums, thick yet deep bass tones & ear wrenching guitars which leave eardrums blistered by the piercing sounds of the pinched harmonics along with great ferocious brutal chugs for breakdowns and speed is what makes this four piece band known as Parasitic Ejaculation. Being a debut album, Rationing The Sacred Human Remains is one that will please fans of Kraanium, Devourment, Goemagot, Abominable Putridity, Gape, Inherit Disease, Deeds of Flesh & Odious Mortem to name several. Some may think of the artwork to be disturbing, so what..that is what makes the album sell to those who it appeals to. However while looking at it, did you notice how it's pretty similar to Brain Drill's debut album art from Apocalyptic Feasting? I'm not saying that Parasitic Ejaculation is trying to rip them off as far as artwork goes, but it does look almost the same. Despite that fact, this band is blasting from California and making heads spin left and right with an awesome debut album on Ghastly Music Records. If you look at the above picture of them, they look pretty damn happy if you ask me. So if you're into the extreme slamming brutal death metal that's out there nowadays like the bands I've mentioned before, then don't let Parasitic Ejaculation slip by you, one listen and you'll be hooked. Containing some samples for intros to some songs is always a plus. Rationing The Sacred Human Remains is getting a 9/10 stars. So my metalhead friends out there, KEEP SUPPORTING UNDERGROUND METAL, SUPPORT PARASITIC EJACULATION, SUPPORT UNDERGROUND NOISE...AND MOST OF ALL: KEEP YOUR HORNS HIGH!!!! EVILVENGEANCE666 \m/-_-\m/

BLASPHEMOUS CREATION- BATTLE OF THE ANCIENTS (ALBUM REVIEW)

Here comes an epic blend of stunning Black Metal, Thrash Metal & Death Metal. Having a strong force of speed, precision, technicality, harmony, melody & brutality is what has fueled and formulated this badass four piece band from Nevada known as Blasphemous Creation. Clearly, this album is just beyond incredible from start to finish. Filled with intricate riffs and solos will make any metal fan headbang and will leave them begging for MORE! The bottom line is every metalhead must own this album, yet if they don't; then GET ON IT!! Every song in this album is mind-blowing and breathtakingly awesome. This band will leave a good taste in your mouth. Mmmm. So if you're into bands that are just as brutal like Behemoth, Slayer and/or Malevolent Creation to name a few, then this album is assured to please just about anyone. Battle of the Ancients tears it up and consumes you and spits you out unlike any other album you've heard recently. With all this said, this is getting a 9.5/10 stars. So metalheads, you know what to do. Keep supporting underground metal, keep supporting Underground Noise and most of all: KEEP YOUR HORNS HIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
