INTERVIEW WITH MALEVOLENT CREATION'S VOCALIST BRET HOFFMANN!!!!!

IT'S TIME FOR A NEW INTERVIEW LADIES & GERMS!!! TRUST ME, THIS IS PRETTY INTENSE. I got in touch with Bret Hoffmann of Malevolent Creation to answer my questions, so if you're in good spirits, sit back and enjoy!! BECAUSE IF THIS DOESN'T GO VIRAL...I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE FUCK WILL!! LOL, but seriously folks...this is awesome!! \m/-_-\m/

UN: Who are your influences both musically and personally?

BH:
Musically, quite a lot. Old KISS, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Saxon, Zeppelin, Slayer... LOL the list goes on and on!! Personally, I have to say my Grandmother. She's actually always told me to keep playing music and tour. She says "You know you won't really be happy if you stop playing music" And who am I to argue with my Grandmother HAHA!!

UN:
Where has been your favorite place or places to perform LIVE?

BH:
That's a VERY tough to answer. I really enjoy playing everywhere, except MANY places in the States. The fans in the States are cool; it's the venue owners and many promoters who are scumbag pieces of shit! BUT I do have some friends who are great promoters in the States. I do really love playing in Germany. It kinda feels like a second home to me. Been touring Europe for 25 years. BUT like I said I just really enjoy traveling and playing music all over the world!!

UN: What song by MC is your favorite that you guys have written?

BH: HAHA yeah right. We got over a hundred songs . Definitely can't answer that. I might as well throw a dart HAHAHA!!

UN: What is the next step for Malevolent Creation?

BH: We are working on a new album, we have a new manager, we have a bunch of really good record deal offers on the table, and tour offers keep coming. So we're getting ready to gear it up higher and get this shit rolling! Hitting Europe to play some great fests in August. Really excited!!!

UN:
How did the name Malevolent Creation come about?

BH:
I used to watch Transformers cartoon back in the mid 80's. They did like a little info demo on the Decepticons and referred to them as a "Malevolent breed of robot warriors" and Megatron/Galvatron was actually pretty fucking twisted for a kid's cartoon. Really dug his evil psychotic rage!! I liked that word and wrote the song Malevolent Creation, which has nothing to do with the Transformers, I did however write a different song about Galvatron(Sacrificial Annihilation) . The name of the song just worked good for the name of the band too.

UN:
Have there ever been any moments while on any tour that may have been life threatening?

BH:
Oh sure. I have had some very hairy airplane experiences!! Some corrupt governmental shenanigans in Indonesia HAHAHA ( I had some serious doubts I was ever gonna see home again) LOL!!! And I'm sure some moments that I wasn't even aware of.

UN:
Any last words for Underground Noise?

BH:
Just want to thank all and any fans that we have who still enjoy our music!! Thanx Thanx Thanx!!!!! We should have a large scale tour going down within this year and I look forward to busting our ass out on the road for you guys!!! And thank you Alex for your support of this scene and music!! Keep rollin' brotha!!

TOXIC HOLOCAUST/EXHUMED/MAMMOTH GRINDER/RAMMING SPEED SHOW JANUARY 29, 2014 (SHOW REVIEW)

This show was fun, intense, and most of all: VERY ENTERTAINING!! We had the opportunity to meet Exhumed, Toxic Holocaust & Ramming Speed at a recent show in Albuquerque NM at The Launchpad. The show started around 7 or 7:30 with Ramming Speed opening. They had a pretty decent set and sounded a bit different than most metal I listen to, but I still enjoyed their performance. After they were done, Mammoth Grinder hit the stage and did their fair share of music as well. While they were doing so, I was able to talk with the drummer of Exhumed.  At the time I didn't realize it was Mike Hamilton whom I had met back on July 31, 2006 on  the Bloodletting America Tour 5. It was a surprise to both of us because we looked at photos of the Bloodletting tour. He was surprised at how young we both looked.  He also mentioned to me that he's still in Deeds of Flesh, but they don't tour anymore. I must say though, after 8 years, I never thought I would meet him again and it was good seeing him. I'm happy and glad my girlfriend could meet him as well as Joel Grind and Phil Zeller from Toxic Holocaust  as well. We also got to meet Blake Chuffskin, the bassist from Ramming Speed. It was great fun for all of us. The best photo of the evening is of Dennis, myself & Caleb wearing our Toxic Holocaust shirts. On another note and also the highlight of my night was doing backing vocals on Wild Dogs during Toxic Holocaust's performance. Joel himself gave me permission to do so. I will post the video below so y'all can view it. Exhumed was cool. I particularly enjoyed the decapitated mannequin head filled with fake guts that were thrown onto the crowd. Talk about an interesting yet killer stage performance! Even the chainsaw guy was entertaining. He's the guy doing the blow it out your nose in one of the pics above this show review. Another thing that was great about this show was Craig who was selling merchandise for Toxic Holocaust. He recognized me from a show back in 2006 on May 4th to be exact when Shadows Fall & Cephalic Carnage performed in Johnson City NY.  It was an awesome night for all 4 of us; Crystal, myself, Caleb & Dennis. I think the next show we all go to will be even MORE fun, maybe just as fun. All of the bands were great! Until next time metalheads, keep those horns high and support UNDERGROUND METAL & UNDERGROUND NOISE!!!! THIS IS YOUR FRIEND EVILVENGEANCE666 \m/-_-\m/

Here it is ladies & germs, enjoy! \m/-_-\m/

SADISTIC PURIFICATION- 2013 PROMO (PROMO REVIEW)

5 EXTREME & BRUTAL DUDES WHO HAIL FROM ATHENS GREECE MAKE UP THIS BAND KNOWN AS SADISTIC PURIFICATION. Get out your headphones and plug into a semi-technical slamming death metal 3 song promo who deliver tight precision with everything they do. I can honestly say that this 5 piece band is known to do some severe beatings on the drums as well as the guitars and bass and vocals which are like Inherit Disease, Gape & many others to name. Being what they are, and what they're capable of doing, Sadistic Purification will beat you to a pulp! I'm suggesting Sadistic Purification to fans of early Abominable Putridity, Oblivionized, Goemagot & any band that has a similar style such as theirs. For being just a promo, I'm giving this release a 9/10 stars. I was hoping for it to be longer, but look forward to when they release a full length album. I'm sure it'll be just as good as this promo has been. So if you are looking to get your head caved in with an ax, then look no further and let the bloodbath begin with Sadistic Purification! UNTIL NEXT TIME METALHEADS AROUND THE PLANET, KEEP SUPPORTING UNDERGROUND METAL, SUPPORT SADISTIC PURIFICATION, SUPPORT UNDERGROUND NOISE, SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL MUSIC SCENE & MOST OF ALL: KEEP YOUR HORNS UP!!! HUMAN INFECTION- CURVATURES IN TIME (ALBUM REVIEW)

Human Infection have left many stunned with their previous release known as Infest to Ingest, but their sophomore album entitled Curvatures In Time will bury them alive. Sounds a tad different than their prior album, but it's all good because it's full of blast beating mayhem, chunky and catchy riffing along with growls which will affect the listener in a great way just like before. This album won't be out until February 11, 2014. However, once the fans hear this new stuff, it's gonna blow their minds so hard that they'll be in wait for what's next with Human Infection. In case you don't know, this band comes from the state of Virginia. I'm pretty sure this album will cause a pit to start at any time given. If you like bands like Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse & Monstrosity, then this should be in your collection. All the members have stayed the same since the first album, and I'm happy to say that it's amazing how some bands have changed members, however the band Human Infection is one to please ANY extreme metal listener with how they've progressed since the first release Infest To Ingest. This is one very impressive album from start to finish and I give it a 9/10 stars and I'm pretty sure within 9 days, this should be selling like crazy. So metalheads, continue to support UNDERGROUND METAL, SUPPORT HUMAN INFECTION, SUPPORT UNDERGROUND NOISE...and MOST OF ALL: KEEP YOUR HORNS UP HIGH!!! EVILVENGEANCE666 \m/-_-\m/

CRYOGEN- CONTINUUM (ALBUM REVIEW)

Here comes a promising melodic death metal band from Colorado known as Cryogen. This band has created 5 albums prior to this one known as Continuum which I believe is one of the best metal releases out there on the market right now. Outstanding production is what makes Continuum stand out as a big deal from the sound, the songs & most of all how it's gripping to the listener. Think of early In Flames, Lamb of God & All Shall Perish to name a few of what this band sounds like. The vocals are pretty easy to understand, and that's what I find to be one asset of Cryogen which proves that not all vocalists are the same. Melodic, brutal & straight up metal that destroys a shit ton of bands out there nowadays. Cryogen's sound is just impeccable and astonishing. If you're into the bands I have mentioned, then don't hesitate to go to your local music retailer and hit them up and demand this for your music collection. Sharing the stage with many acts like Kittie, God Forbid, Skinlab, Divine Heresy & a few others will please new fans and listeners alike to Cryogen, that is if they haven't heard them before. Cryogen is unique in their own way. Other than that, they pull of some stuff that some bands can't or won't these days. The band has been around since 2004, so for the past 10 years some people have been hiding under a rock and have probably missed what Cryogen is capable of doing with their music. With all that said, I'm gonna give this album an 8/10 stars. However, I can definitely see this band getting angrier and more aggressive over time. My personal favorite track of of this album is Machine. Also, might I add the fact Cryogen, pulls off by far an AMAZING cover of the legendary song Heartwork, originally done by Carcass. Until next time metalheads, this is EVILVENGEANCE666 signing off and reminding you to do the following things: KEEP SUPPORTING UNDERGROUND METAL, SUPPORT CRYOGEN, SUPPORT UNDERGROUND NOISE & MOST OF ALL: KEEP YOUR HORNS HIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! \m/-_-\m/
